Be wary of any approaches

You need to be very sceptical of (and report) any such persons, particularly any conversations any of these people try to have with you about:

  • Team mates
  • Injuries
  • Tactics
  • The opposition
  • Referees
  • Anything else to do with matches which could be used for betting
  • Gambling problems
  • Or debt, drug or money problems

It is important to remember that what may seem like small information can be very valuable to a gambler/match fixer and you must be very careful in relation to the inside information regulations.

Revealing this information can lead to corrupt betting which could be traced back to persons connected to you, leading to you potentially being sanctioned and, in some countries, the possibilty of facing criminal proceedings.
